The Iulia Hasdeu Castle was built in Campina, Romania, by romanian politician and historian Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu after the death at the age of 19 of his beloved daughter, Iulia Hasdeu. He claimed that his beloved daughter provided the plans for building the castle during sessions of spiritism. The building was completed in 1896. Iulia was a precocious child, spoke several languages, wrote poems in french. she died of tuberculosis in 1888. Today, the castle is a Memorial Museum.
