Street Painters At Work Editorial Image

Using tarmac as their canvas and chalk as their medium these and other street painters transformed a street in Tempe, Arizona/USA into beautiful works of art. Jamie Tooley and partner were participants in a chalking competition during the annual Festival of the Arts in Tempe (December 4-6, 2015). The assignment was to interpret their idea of retro toys. These two contestants depicted a retro toy - a butterfly on wheels (white circles in the painting). At this point the artists are finalizing their painting with chalkboard erasers.
