Little Blue Penguins In Their Nesting Box Stock Image

Little blue penguins (or little penguins) are the smallest penguin on the planet. They come onshore to nest, and are seen in this photo safe from predators. They grow to a height of just over 25cm and weigh approximately 1kg. These penguins are native to New Zealand and cared for under a conservation programme. Scientific name is Eudyptula minor.
