These singular houses, used as temporary or daily shelters,are disseminaded all over the Salentine area.Salento is dotted with watchtowers as always it has been the subject of numerous attacks by different peoples of the Mediterranean.Torre Uluzzo, or Christian, is a tower of Salento located in the town of Nardo and falling in the Park of Porto Selvaggio and Captain Marsh.Built on top of a rocky outcrop and already completed in 1575, the tower has a truncated pyramid but is partially collapsed. The cover is no longer present and only a few walls remain standing, built with irregular blocks; especially the north side and the side facing the sea are the best preserved. Remain the remains of some Machicolation and support brackets for the crowning.The nigthmare of invasions and saks by the Turks forced the building of a dense network of watching
