Adjacent to chaopraya River, Soi Charoenkung 36, Charoenkung Road, Bangrak, Bangkok. Since the agreement on the Bowring Treaty between kingdom of Siam and United Kingdom in B.E 2398 during the region of King Rama IV, foreign trade with western countries was liberalised; therefore, the customes House was established in order to collect import taxes of 3 percent on the value of imported goods as well as export taxes as stated in the treaty.
