Part of the display of ceramic poppies made and displayed at the Tower of London in Rememberance of the start of the First World War. These are just a few of the 888,246 poppies that were made and displayed, to honour those British and British Colonial soldiers who died during the First World War. These poppies form part of a work by artist Paul Cummings and dispayed in the moat of The Tower of London, England. The title of the artwork was inspired by the lines of a peom written by an anonymous soldier of the First World War, The Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. The work took months to manufacture and install. The fina poppy was installed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, in August 2014
