Spain, Sevilla Province, region Andalusia, Seville: just outside the old historic center of Seville, the plaza, plaza de Espana located: the crescent-shaped square is one of the most recognizable squares of the city. In honor of the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929 there were several buildings constructed in the Maria Luisa park including the Capitania General, designed by Anibal Gonzalez. The square is shaped like a huge semicircle which is completely surrounded by buildings which today are mainly used by government, government building. Whole bottom of this building are 52 freco on which Spanish provinces are depicted in azulejos [typical Andalusian tiles, colorful tile, ceramic tile]. In the middle of the square stands a fountain and the center square is connected to the side by countless bridges [bridge, bridges]. The plaza is again visited by hordes of tourists every day [entertainment; leisure; recreation] and is one of the tourist attractions of Seville. Still a part of this building arch construction [bow, bows], pillars and a tower on the far left.
