Description
Die cast 1:43 model of an Audi R10 TDI prototype. Built in 2006 as a successor to the all winning Audi R8 LMP prototype, the new R10 was the first diesel powered car to take the victory of the 24 hours of Le Mans race (victories that repeated in 2007 and 2008) and started a series of Le Mans victories for diesel cars interrupted only 10 years later by Porsche's 919. Alongside the victories at Le mans, that car dominated during the 2007 and 2008 seasons (in 2006 it raced the ain events but was replaced by the old R8 in the rest of the races) in WEC and ALMS championships In 2009, the car was substituted by the more evoluted R10 and continued its career till 2010 in the hands of some privateer teams
