Description
The positive organ pipes aside the tomb of the queen D. Maria I in the Estrela Basilica in Lisbon, Portugal. The organ was manufacturated in 1791 by the Portuguese António Xavier Machado e Cerveira; the tomb is in neoclassic style. Estrela Basilica is one of the most important catholic churches in Lisbon, Portugal. It starts building in 1779 and it is an exemple of the late baroc style with neoclassic elements. The main architects were Mateus Vicente and Reinaldo Manuel from the so called Mafra architects. It was built by decision of the queen D. Maria I. It was built originally as a Convent of Carmelites. The interior is in marble gray, pink and yellow.
