Description
Angami tribesmen from Viswema village take part in the stone pulling ceremony. This is an ancient Angami tradition still carried out today during the Hornbill festival that is held annually in the 1st week of December. The festival is held in the northeast state of Nagaland in India and is a celebrated cultural extravaganza attended by tribal people from all over Nagaland. During the event, Naga artists perform dances and present their traditional arts in the form of paintings, wood carvings and sculptures. The Festival aims at sustaining, reviving, and protecting the richness of the Naga culture and heritage.
