Description
Statue of Frei Francisco da Soledade, the founder of the city of Bom Jesus da Lapa (Good Jesus of the Grotto). During the XVII century, he walked more than 500 miles on bare feet to find his home inside a grotto. There he started to help people that passed by, and then he became praised as a saint monk. The grotto was turned into a church, and Frei Francisco is on the list of Vatican to be reconized as a saint himself. State of Bahia, Brazil.
