Description
Inside of Mãe d'Agua (Water's Mother) reservoir, a space now included in the Water Museun in Lisbon, Portugal. The reservoir was the work that finished the water supply system to Lisbon created in the 18 th century. The reservoir is a cistern with 7,5 meters deep wich has a capacity of 5500 cubic meter.From the tank emerge four columns supporting a roof edge vaults which, in turn, supports the magnificent panoramic terrace overlooking the city of Lisbon. Lampposts and unified space suggests the interior of a church hall style, proposing the sacredness of space. In the walls can be seen photos by the film-maker Wim Wenders, on a temporary exhibition
