Riddarholmskyrkan, originally GrÃÂ¥brödrakyrkan, is a church situated on Riddarholmen in Stockholm, inaugurated around 1300. It was originally built as a Catholic convent church for the Franciscan monastery, founded in 1270, belonging to the Franciscan, after the donation of King Magnus III. [1] Thus is the Stockholm's oldest preserved building with the oldest brick walls above ground and Stockholm's only preserved medieval abbey.
