Taken on 20th May 2016. The City Pillar Shrine in Phitsanulok town was designed by the Fine Arts Department. The Prang-shaped building houses the city pillar which is made of different kinds of sacred wood in its various parts and has gone through a religious ceremony at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok. It is located at the center of Pitsanulok province and on the side of the Nan river. The detail of the roof are sculptured in the form of naga, the holy mighty serpent deities in Hindu and Buddhist believe.
