Photo: Marcelo Alves The Santa Ifigenia Viaduct is a viaduct located in the center of São Paulo, with use exclusively for pedestrians. Begins at Largo São Bento and ends in front of the Church of Santa Ifigenia . Its structure was fully manufactured in Belgium , opened on September 26, 1913 , by Mayor Raimundo Duprat . Currently, the viaduct is one of the main links of the highest points from the center of São Paulo, passing over the Anhangabaú Valley and the Prestes Maia Avenue . Thousands of people passing every day , especially during rush hour . Its architectural style is Art Nouveau . Today Viaduct Santa Ifigenia appears on many postcards of the city of São Paulo.
