Chinatown Friendship Gate Editorial Photo

This gate marks the entrance to Philadelphia's Chinatown neighborhood. The brightly painted portal, which follows a traditional Qing Dynasty style, was created using tiles from Philadelphia’s sister city, Tianjin. The neighborhood is a celebration of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Burmese cuisine, and hosts a wide range of ethnic festivals, businesses and events.
