The Butterfly Garden or Jardin des Papillons is located in the town of Grevenmacher, near the Moselle River in eastern Luxembourg, a country just west of Germany. The Butterfly Garden has a glass greenhouse, which is home to birds, insects and plants that create ideal conditions for free-flying butterflies. visitors to the Butterfly Garden have the opportunity to see butterflies at different stages of their two-month life cycle, from egg, caterpillar, pupa to adult butterfly. In addition, the plants that grow in the greenhouse are carefully selected to suit each of about 40 species of butterflies from around the world. The plants include flowers, ferns and trees from the tropics.
