Description
Located in southwest Oregon,this ancient volcano is now the second deepest freshwater lake in the world.Mt Mazama as it is known is part of the pacific ring of fire.It is one of a string of volcanoes stretching from northern california to british columbia canada. At it's widest point it is 6.02 miles and 1943 feet at it's deepest,holding4.9 trillion gallons of water. Only 2% of the lakes bottom has been explored.
