View of the city and Cathedral of Messina. Sicily. Italy. #75172222
Description
The main historical attraction in Messina is the Cathedral, built in Norman style. Near the Cathedral stands the 90-meter bell tower, the second largest in Italy, on top of which is installed an intricate astronomical clock. They were made specifically for Messina in 1933 in Strasbourg, and their mechanism is recognized as one of the most complicated horological devices in the world.
