Isla Pescado In The Middle Of The Salar De Uyuni Royalty-Free Stock Photography

In the middle of the largest Salt Plain in the world, the Salar the Uyuni, in the Bolivian Andes, at an altitude of 3600m, lies this tiny rock 'island'. Typical for this place are the cactusses, some of them reaching a height of more than 5 meters. The top of this island lies an estimated 100m above the plain and offers a splendid view over this enormous white surface. If you pay attention you even can see the curve of the earth. The mountain at the horizon is a volcano, called the Volcano Tunupa. It lies at a distance of 25km and has an altitude of 5350m.
