Having finished the day's tasks this steam locomotive of the Danish Railway Museum had the smoke box cleaned for ashes. As these ashes contain a little sulphur from the coals, remains of ashes are washed off with hot water. Remains of ashes would cause more corrosion than the amount of water used.
