Description
The clock tower is a building aging back into the renaissance sited in Piazza delle Erbe Erbe square in Mantua Lombardy, Italy between the Palazzo della Ragione and Rotonda di San Lorenzo. The building whas built from 1472 to 1473 by the architect, at the service of Mantua`s Earl Ludovico III Gonzaga , Luca Fancelli on the basis of a previous XIII century palace. At the end of 1473 it was place the astronomical clock realized by the mathematician Bartolomeo Manfredi and later, under it, where placed the statue of Madonna Immacolata from the beginning of XVII century and the balcony.
