Description
Parmelia physodes Lichen on tree bark. Usually lichen grows strongly and forms a continuous coating on the trunks in the form of scaly crusts grayish or whitish color turquoise. Its form is very original. It resembles a miniature coral, but coral sprigs of flat and rather broad, and the bush flattened. Its barely raise above the surface of the bark. If you tear off a plane from the bark of a bush, it is clear that the lower surface of its dark brown, sometimes almost black. Only the ends of the branches are white.
