Adult Smooth Snake Stock Image

A very beautiful adult smoothsnake I found and photographed In germany near Frankfurt. This specimen was a adult female measuring in at about 70cm in length, they can grow to max 90cm and average 80cm in length. I found this one on a reptile and amphibian research trip in Germany. They normally feed on lizards, frogs and mice. I really like this picture because the snake is so potent and alive, the snake also contrasts really wel with the background.
