Title
Standley Chasm (Angkerle) located west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. #80179287
Description
Standley Chasm cuts through the tough quartzite to form a picturesque natural alleyway. Surging flood waters over thousands of years are responsible for this beautiful site, which is at its most impressive in the middle of a sunny day, as the light shifts across the cleft. The narrow gap, formed by rushing floodwaters over thousands of years, creates an alleyway through walls of rock that reach up to 80 metres in height.
