Savvino Storozhevsky Monastery - Orthodox Monastery of the Moscow diocese. Founded at the end of the XIV century, it is located on the mountain near the Moscow River in Zvenigorod. In XV-XVII centuries Savvino Storozhevsky monastery played the role of a military outpost of the Moscow principality in the west. The monastery was a favorite place of prayer of many Russian Tsars.
