Panorama of the Russian city of Kaluga in high resolution. Kaluga ââ¬â a city in the Central Federal district of the Russian Federation, the administrative center of Kaluga region. The city is situated on both banks of the Oka river and its tributary, the river Acence, 160 km from Moscow. The city has an international airport `Kaluga`. In Kaluga from 1892 to 1935 there lived and worked for a prominent inventor, theorist of cosmonautics after K. E. Tsiolkovsky. In 1967, a Museum of the history of cosmonautics, the world`s first and Russia`s largest space Museum, created with the direct participation of Sergey Korolev and Yuri Gagarin. This city has a long history and a large number of architectural monuments, which include a large number of Orthodox churches, the living room series, located in front of the administration of Kaluga region and the stone bridge across the ravine, passing in the Central part of the city.
