A yellow rough-fruited Cinquefoil growing wild in the Pennsylvania wilderness by a small bed of water. Such a beautiful flower with heart-shaped petals. It also goes by the name Sulpher Cinquefoil. It blooms from May to August and is in the Rosacae Rose family. It has a divided leaf type. It is easily confused with the Norwegian/Rough. Rough-Fruited Cinquefoil is paler in color, hairier. Rough-Fruited has 5 leaflets, while Norwegian/Rough has 3.
