This is a late Fall picture on a foggy day of the stone Vault of Ira Couch located in Lincoln Park in Chicago, Illinois. The stone Vault was erected in 1858 for Couch as part of the Chicago City Cemetery. In 1869 the Cemetery was taken over by the Lincoln Park Commissioners and the graves were all removed except for Couch whose family sued to remain and after years won their case that ended up in the U.S. Supreme Court. This picture was taken on December 1, 2016.
