Paddlesteamers #85026757
Description
In the last half of the 19th century, Echuca was a bustling town where paddlesteamers took people and goods from all along the Murray, Darling and Murrumbidgee Rivers. More than 100 paddlesteamers were built at Echuca, which was once Australiaââ¬â¢s largest inland port. Now itââ¬â¢s home to the worldââ¬â¢s largest collection of paddlesteamers. Echuca Paddlesteamers operates two of these authentic vessels, the PS Pevensey and PS Alexander Arbuthnot, which ferry passengers along the Murray on daily cruises departing from Echuca Wharf.
