Trumpeting Angel On Dome Former St. James Church Stock Image

Netherlands, province South Holland, hamlet, village Hodenpijl, municipality Midden-Delfland: the tower of the former Saint, St. James church. This house of god resembles a Greek temple. The structure is designed by the architect A. Rodenburg and his student GR Pelletier. The construction is now used for concerts, lectures, weddings, cultural and spiritual center. On the dome of the tower, cupola tower with pillars, columns, is a wind vane, a musical angel silhouette of steel, with wings and stands on a round ball and blowing on a trumpet, buisine. This artwork was designed by the artist Ruud Krijnen.
