Person in a Wheelchair at the Women`s March, Americans with Disabilities, National Gallery of Art East, Washington, DC, USA #85071539
Description
Women`s March on Washington, January 21, 2017: A record number of demonstrators descended on the nation`s capital to rally against the recently-inaugurated President of the United States, Donald Trump. This worldwide, grassroots movement was a series of political rallies organized for women`s rights as well as a myriad of other causes threatened by President Donald Trump`s rhetoric. It is about 2:45PM and the people have begun to march. Here, demonstrators pass the National Gallery of Art East Building. Near the entrance of the museum, above the heads of the marchers, is the large, abstract bronze sculpture Mirror Knife Edge 1977 or Knife Edge Mirror Two Piece by Henry Moore. Also represented in this photo are marchers with disabilities: A person in a wheelchair, holding a sign, is wheeled alongside the crowd.
