Look What I Found! #85181127
Description
Three times a year, there is an extreme minus tide. The water goes out and stays out for about ten hours. Depending on the lay of the land, 100 - 200 feet of sand and tide pools appears. The newspaper, and TV stations, send reporters and photographers. The parks department send rangers to explain what is found in the tide pools. This picture was taken at Carkeek Park, in Seattle, Washington. It was as much fun to watch the children playing the tide pools as it was to explore what was found in some of the tide pools! These two girls were to excited, they had found a piece of kelp. Most people would not be excited by kelp, but it was new to them.
