Plumes Rising in Anger #85462422
Description
On Avery Island, Louisiana there is a bird city, where the owner hoped to save the snowy white egrets. women wanted the plumes for their hats. To supply the demand, the bird numbers dropped dramatically. Edward Avery McIllhenny decided to create a nesting place for the birds, hoping to save the population. As we watched the birds, we were surprised to see the plumes,---which normally lay down the back of the bird --- rise in anger.
