This is a Winter picture of the Grosse Point Light Station covered in snow, located in Evanston, Illinois in Cook County. The Light house and tower were designed by Orlando Metcalf Poe, are an example of Italianate architecture, the conical tower stands 113 feet high, and was completed on June 30, 1873. The complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 8, 1976. This picture was taken on March 15, 2017.
