Writer/author Jerzy Kosinski appears at a conclave discussing Polish culture and Polish Jewry in Jerusalem in January of 1988. Kosinski, born into a Jewish family in Poland during World War Two, emigrated to the United States where he gamed fame for writing `Being There` which was made into a successful motion picture. He was the center of controversy when his authorship of `The Painted Bird` was seriously questioned. He died in 1991 as a result of suicide at the age of 57.
