Description
This is part of Peston Island after Guntersville Alabama tornado, classified by the National Weather service as an EF-2 with 130 mph winds The tornado touched down in the Waterfront community near Alabama Highway 79 at 3:06 p.m. April 10, 2009 and moved across to Preston Island and South Sauty areas of Lake Guntersville creating a wide path of damage. It became a water spout as the crossed the river. Trees were uprooted or snapped like twigs along the way. Dozens of houses, boathouses, boats and docks were damaged or destroyed
