Tradescantia Ohiensis, commonly referred to as Spiderwort, is a native of the United States. It produces clusters of violet tripetalled flowers in the summer. The plant does best in sandy soil but tolerates most terrains. It prefers slightly moist conditions. Spiderwort blooms early in the morning and close in the afternoon heat. The plant is considered a weed in some areas but has adapted to the neglect.
