Description
Netherlands, North Holland province, region West-Friesland, fortified city Enkhuizen: Landscape with the Boerenboom, a water gate which was built at the end of the sixteenth, 16th, century, with the construction of the contemporary rampart, fortification wall. The port also served as a sluice for canal, the Noorder Boerenvaart into the Boerenhoek. The lock house with retaining walls in the enclosure is a landmark, cultural heritage site, national monument and tourist attraction. Loden piron with windvane and spire. View Through the arch with the defensive moat and allotment, on a sweltering day in the summer. On the water is a woman to sail a boat. The canals are a recreational area for water sports.
