Pictured is a closeup of the front of the pedestal for a statue of William Shakespeare in Tower Grove Park in Saint Louis, Missouri. It is a bronze relief of Falstaff, a character in several plays by Shakespeare. A fat, vain, boastful, and cowardly knight, Falstaff spends most of his time drinking at the Boar`s Head Inn with petty criminals, living on stolen or borrowed money. The sculptor was Ferdinand Von Miller of the Royal Foundry in Munich.
