Courtyard of Home Range Hall in Baraboo, Wisconsin #94488107
Description
The beautiful courtyard with native plantings at the Home Range Hall at the Aldo Leopold Center in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Designed for three-season use, the hall is mostly heated and cooled naturally. From June through September, screened windows are left open to provide fresh air from outside. In early spring and late fall, storm windows are installed to help insulate the space. A wood stove is the only heat source on chilly days. The purple lupines were in full bloom in this photo.
