Women cooking #9481646
Description
Women cooking in the kettle field. May 2008, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 - Morimondo (MI) - trecentesca. In 1356 close to all'Abbazia Morimondo at Casorate, there was a clash between two armies: one led by the Milanese Visconti Lodrisio against the imperial army wire tied to Charles VI of Bohemia and coalition anti Visconti, seconded by German Count Corrado Landau. An episode of local history, which invites us to rediscover in the broadest sense of the epic Visconti, as they promoted the first attempt to unify into one nation many fragile states and fiefdoms. Maybe you could backdate their commitment to the first glimmers of that unity that only lead to aging Risorgimento several centuries later. Associations of reenactors from many foreign nations and of course Italy, reconstruct a vast medieval encampment in which, in addition to soldiers, are cooks, blacksmiths, carpenters, merchants, artisans of all kinds, to reconstruct the daily life at of Visconti. The events culminating in the most spectacular moment of the battle itself.
