Description
This image is taken in a seafood restaurant in Sabah and locals call them Zebra Shell due to the zebra like stripes of the flesh. This shellfish is known to live in littoral and shallow sublittoral zones. It is usually found in muddy bottoms at a maximum depth of nearly 20 metres. It is also known to produce pearls but without nacre.
