This is a Summer picture of the Tama County Jail located in Toledo, Iowa in Tama County. This two story brick building was designed and built by David Sterner, it is an example of Italianate architecture, the second floor served as residence for the sheriff and his family, it was built in 1870. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 27, 1981. This picture was taken on June 25, 2017.
