Description
Khaju Bridge, also Pol-e Khaju, built by the Persian king Shah Abbas II during Safavid era. Bridge is 133 metres long and has 24 arches. Serving as a bridge and a dam as well and links the Khaju quarter with the Zoroastrian quarter across the Zayandeh River. This bridge was originally decorated with artistic tile work and paintings, and served also as a tea house.
