Description
In 1912, Charles Spencer Greenway a member of the family which had owned the Dobmeadow Works, presented the remarkable shelter now known as the Greenway Shelter or The Bandstand. Located in the middle of the valleys the octagonal structure with eight solid stone pillars, and a stone slate roof was used for the popular Café Chantante entertainments in the years around the First World War.
