Scott monument #96770124
Description
Opened in 1846, the Scott Monument is a Gothic-style building erected in honor of the Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott. The monument, located on Princes Street, has a blackened color that gives it a sinisterly beautiful appearance .. The huge Gothic needle is decorated with 64 characters from the novels created by the beloved writer. As a counterpoint to the dark construction, in the lower part of the monument you can see a statue of Sir Walter Scott made of white marble that shines with its own light.
