Description
Riga fountain in Moscow is a beautiful fountain located in the center of the square opposite the Rizhskiy Railway Station. It was established in 2007 and has the form of a traditional European water intake structure, consisting of an octagonal bowl, decorated with bronze ornament and granite column located on a pedestal in the center. The top of the column is crowned with 2.1-meter-long Caravel made of bronze and wrought copper. Such sailing ships evoke romantic dreams of voyages and far countries. That is because trains depart from this place directly towards the Baltic sea.
