Pictured is the Upper Temple of the Jaguar atop the South end of the East Wall of the Great Ball Court. It is the largest and best preserved ball court in ancient Mesoamerica. It is located in Chichen Itza, a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State, Mexico.
