Description
Tourists enjoyed their time aboard the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad which was built in 1898 concurrent with the Klondike gold rush in the Yukon Territory. It was discontinued in 1982, but revived in 1988 as a strictly tourist railroad shuttling sightseers through magnificent scenery in an hour and a quarter ride from White Pass, Yukon, which has an elevation of 2,864 feet down to Skagway, Alaska at sea level, where they are disembarking. This is the railroad`s station at the Skagway end. This photo was taken on July 29, 2017.
